I got this replacement tape at Sears, for $1.47 on clearance. I niyet on getting another tape for the other side, probable one from woodcraft or some other website which sells the tape with adhesive on the back.
I brought the double bevel and stand not too long ago, waiting and waiting ..well for the saw to be in stock which is a fete in itself :)
then I could flip the assembly over on its side and nail the sides. I drove 1"kreg screws on to secure the front and back to the sides. I used glue in all joints.
Don't worry too much about perfect cuts; small variations won't affect the project. Hold off on cutting the toparlak to length until you get the dividers positioned later.
That's the one I got (Double bevel). I also couldn't find one of the Lidl ones. I've got a lot of 4"x2" to cut (Approx 700m of it!) Plus a load of 6"x1" boards to cut. Made a start - it saf absolutely flown through all the cuts so far. I've done about 30 or so simple 90 degree cuts, plus sixteen 45 degree cuts and all have been great. The only slight annoyance that I found is that although it fits under it wouldn't cut all the way through a 4" thick piece of wood.

The difference between a sliding and non-sliding miter saw lies in the width view of the material it is capable of cutting. A sliding miter saw comes with a blade attached to rails (or a glide arm, like on the bosch GCM12SD) which moves forward and backwards.Â

The bench holds up to 200kg which is approximately 17x the weight of the saw. I used to own the Evolution stand and found it to be an inconvenience due to its size and weight.
